On Friday, 22 May 2026, ILSA Chapter UNS had the valuable opportunity to conduct a visit to Makarim & Taira S. Counsellors at Law. As one of the law firms that ILSA Chapter UNS had long hoped to visit, this experience became a meaningful opportunity for us to gain insights and learn directly from legal professionals in the field. We are truly grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality extended by the firm throughout the visit.
Carrying the theme “The Legal Landscape of Cross-Border Investment,” the session featured a discussion on “Foreign and Outward Direct Investment” delivered by Ms. Stephanie Kandou, Partner at Makarim & Taira S., and Ms. Rininta Shafira, Senior Associate at Makarim & Taira S. The discussion sparked great enthusiasm among participants, especially through the interactive case studies and active Q&A session.
One of the most memorable moments of this visitation was the opportunity to meet and interact with Mr. Matsuda Akira and Mr. Kaneki Nobuyuki from Iwata Godo Law Firm, Japan. Their willingness to spend time engaging with ILSA Chapter UNS made this experience even more remarkable and unforgettable for all participants.
