By: Aida Cahya Ardani

Israeli forces have shot dead A Palestinan-American Al Jazeera’s journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh in the occupied West Bank, according to witnesses and the Palestinian health ministry.

According to the Qatar-based outlet, veteran journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh, 51 years old, wore a press vest that clearly marked her as a “press” when reporting in the city of Jenin. At that time, she was reporting on the recent operation launched by the Israeli army in the middle of Arab attacks in Israel.

However, Israeli alleged that a Palestinian fire might have hit the journalist during a gun battle in the West Bank city of Jenin. The bullet then became the focus of two competing stories about her death situation.
